Terms and Privacy
These are plain-language starter terms for Cord to Ember. They explain how the site works, what we collect, and what buyers and sellers should expect.
Using the site
Cord to Ember lists independent firewood sellers so buyers can find wood nearby and contact sellers directly. We do not own the wood, haul the wood, inspect every stack, or take part in the final sale. Buyers and sellers are responsible for the details they agree to, including price, delivery, pickup, timing, and payment.
Listings and reviews
Sellers are responsible for keeping listings accurate. That includes species, seasoning, price, quantity, pickup options, delivery area, and contact information. We may hide, edit, or remove listings, reviews, photos, or accounts that look false, abusive, unsafe, or out of place for the site.
Payments and disputes
Buyers pay sellers directly unless the site clearly says otherwise. Work out payment method, delivery fee, stacking fee, and any refund questions before wood changes hands. If something goes sideways, contact the seller first. You can also report a listing so we can review whether it belongs on Cord to Ember.
Information we collect
We collect the information needed to run the directory. That may include seller account details, listing details, photos, contact information, reviews, reports, alert signups, and basic technical logs. We use that information to show listings, send site emails, prevent spam, improve the service, and keep the directory useful.
Sharing information
Public listing information is shown to buyers. We use service providers for work like hosting, email, payments, image storage, and spam protection. We do not sell personal information. We may share information if required by law, to protect the site, or to deal with abuse and security issues.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site grows. The newest version on this page is the one that applies. If you keep using Cord to Ember after changes are posted, that means you accept the updated terms.
